Fascism and why it matters

Is our USA Fascist Country?

Other countries are calling the United States of America a fascist country so we are taking an objective look. As Americans we have one job, that is to assure those we elect represent us and do not become corrupt. No not look and not care is being un-American. Doing our job and assuring our government is not corrupt and is working for us is the primary job of all patriots.

As a litmus test, we compared the 14 common characteristics of fascism to the current leadership in America. All 14 common elements of fascism match in a way that is undeniable.

The conclusion is sadly “Yes – The United States of America is a fascist country“. Is Germany a fascist country right now? No, but they were and we are now.

Important: This is not saying that everyone in America a fascist. Not everyone in Germany was a fascist either. Another important note is that the “America First” movement in our country was pro-Hitler as a majority and that is solid, undisputable history.

Common Fascist Elements
Across all these fascist movements

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Common Element #1

Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Quick Compare: This is their identity – flag waving, mottos, flag clothing, etc.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Common Element #2

Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of “need.” The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

Quick Compare: One example is the “rapist and murders” coming over the border are the enemy and the need for security allows us to disregard the cost and suffering related to mass deportations. Those coming over the border commit crimes at half the rate of natural born citizens, so the “rapist and murders” connotation is a lie to manufacture fear.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
Common Element #3

The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc

Quick Compare: The movement is for sure in a patriotic frenzy to protect America from religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists. I was able to use copy/paste that one was so easy.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Supremacy of the Military
Common Element #4

Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

Quick Compare: The intro video of Trump becoming the 47th President is nothing but glamorized military and Trump – nothing else. Of course, that is one small example, this one is obvious.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Rampant Sexism
Common Element #5

The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.

Quick Compare: The traditional gender roles are obvious, the “Traditional Mom Movement” is a prime example. The others from abortion on are obviously yes.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Controlled Mass Media
Common Element #6

Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common

Quick Compare: Fox News is the media arm of the Republican party. Many key personalities has the chief of staff on their cell phones. Trump also told NPR and other legit news agencies they need to rotate in because OAN is coming to town.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Obsession with National Security
Common Element #7

Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

Quick Compare: The “border crisis” is just one of many examples of how this one is a match. Most Republicans wouldn’t try to argue over this one from reading the title alone.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Religion and Government are Intertwined
Common Element #8

Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions

Quick Compare: There is little question on this one. Abortion is not legal and it is no secret that many of them say that we need more religion on our laws. Most Republicans would not argue this one from reading the title alone.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Corporate Power is Protected
Common Element #9

The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

Quick Compare: The mutually beneficial part is easy. A primary goal of fascism is for the rich and powerful to stay that way. Project 2025 is a corporate mandate to implement corporate policies. Unlimited money in politics makes for an open bribe system. Few would argue that corporate power is protected by the Republican party, particularly not the current ones in power.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Labor Power is Suppressed
Common Element #10

Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed

Quick Compare: The Republicans distain for organized labor is no secret. The attacks on labor have already begun in the Executive Order flurry. Few would argue against this one either.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Common Element #11

Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts

Quick Compare: There is an obvious and undeniable distain for higher education and academia. Vance’s repeated a quote by Richard Nixon: “the professors are the enemy.” – just to give a solid, recent example of someone in this administration that has those views as well.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Common Element #12

Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations

Quick Compare: The dynamics around the “blue line flag” say it all.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Common Element #13

Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders

Quick Compare: One only has to look at the appointment by Trump to understand we have open and unabashed cronyism. The fact that the president has ignored the constitution, congressional law, the separation of powers and even the 1974 privacy act to get his way shows a complete disregard for the rule of law.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match

Fraudulent Elections
Common Element #14

Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections

Quick Compare: Many people that worked directly for Trump pleaded guilty and even when to jail over an attempt to use fake electors to steal our election. Even without taking into account Jack Smith has enough, well documented, sworn testimony to convict Trump of leading both efforts, this is still a solid yes based on the guilty pleas alone.

Conclusion: Yes – A Solid Match
